Premio Mare Architettura - for the sloop Shui
Motivation
“Semplice, lineare, complesso” is the title of a book on architecture by Costantino Dardi, professor at the School of Architecture of Rome, who came to an untimely death a few years ago.
In those three words one is able to grasp the meaning of Patrizia Sterpone's project.
Such project as interprets the whole functional and structural complexity of a big sailboat through the use of a simple and linear language, which, for that very reason, stands out as distinguished and convincing.
